EXPLORE THE MUSEUM

What We Do

Events

Events are a great way to showcase what all the museum has to offer and to reach new audiences. While it is important to maintain traditions such as our Christmas and Halloween events, our site has a limitless number of other possibilities. Because of that, we want to make it our goal and hope to bring something new to the table each year and are always open to new and exciting suggestions!
EVENTS & PROMOTIONS

Education

Education is at the forefront of everything we do and is our primary objective. Not only do we want to help further educate those that may already be interested in history and the railroads, but also want to attract and engage new audiences through a diverse range of opportunities. We aim for our scope to not be of a limited variety, and instead attempt to broaden our horizons and by inviting outside resources.
PROGRAMS & EXHIBITS

Entertainment

Entertainment is a vital part and should always be coupled education. In order to truly engage and inspire an audience, we feel as though the learning process should be inviting and fun. This is why a few of our main objectives are to incorporate as much hands-on interactive learning as possible, utilize modernized trends and technology, and to provide a safe, family friendly environment to explore.

Event Rentals

Because we are fortunate to have such a large, unique, and historic site, we feel it is part of our obligation to share it with the community and also let guests have the opportunity to utilize it for their benefit. From small parties and social functions to large weddings and special events, the museum has plenty to offer and will do our best to turn vision into reality.

Archaeology

Upon acquiring and resurrecting this historic industrial site, and as we progress onward in our development, we continue to find that there are countless numbers of artifacts and untold stories yet to be discovered. From past and through future archaeological digs and research, we hope to investigate and uncover what has been left behind for us share with the world.
HISTORY

Historic Preservation

In order to know where one is going, one has to know where they have been. Historic preservation is a crucial part of that process and better allows us to tell the story moving forward. This not only includes the physical aspects such as buildings, machinery, locomotives, railcars, etc., but also the lives of the workers and the lasting legacies they left behind.
