Where History Come to Life
Located at the former Sioux City Engine Terminal and Car Repair Shops of the Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railway, a.k.a. the Milwaukee Road, this once large and industrious complex is now home to the Sioux City Railroad Museum.
In 2018, this site designated as the Milwaukee Railroad Shops Historic District was placed on the National Register of Historic Places.
As you walk around the 32-acre complex – you can feel that rich history come alive and try to imagine what life must have been like for all those railroad workers who spent their days keeping the trains running.
With more than 100 years of history ready to be told, we hope that it is an experience you won’t soon forget!

Sunday 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Monday - Wednesday Closed to the Public

Donations are welcomed and accepted at any of our on-site Donation Stations, online, or by mail.
